What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director position at Louisiana Alliance of Children's Advocacy Centers?
The Louisiana Alliance of Children’s Advocacy Centers (LACAC) is seeking a visionary Executive Director to lead our statewide network dedicated to strengthening Child Advocacy Centers and supporting Louisiana’s most vulnerable children.
Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides strategic leadership, oversees daily operations, and represents LACAC at the state and national levels. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, driven professional with proven experience in nonprofit management, relationship building, and child advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead organizational strategy, administration, and fiscal management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with CAC directors, state agencies, and community partners.
• Oversee grants, budgets, reporting, and compliance.
• Serve as the public voice for LACAC, advancing awareness and support for child advocacy centers.
• Support and mentor local CAC leaders and foster statewide collaboration.
• Manages personnel; ensures staff activities are consistent with the mission, plans, and objectives of LACAC.
Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related human services field.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in child advocacy, victim services, or nonprofit administration.
• Proven record of strategic management, fiscal oversight, and organizational leadership.
• Demonstrated success in grant writing, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement.
• Deep understanding of child abuse dynamics, multidisciplinary team collaboration, and CAC operations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and public relations skills; ability to unite diverse partners around a shared mission.
• Ability to travel statewide; must pass an extensive background screening.
