Now in it's 17th year, FREE 2 BE ME DANCE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides dance classes specifically designed for individuals with disabilities, ensuring they have equal opportunities to achieve their goals. Through a combination of technical training and performance experiences, the organization provides a comprehensive dance education tailored to meet each dancer’s unique needs. The program fosters creativity, inclusion, and personal growth in a supportive and empowering environment.
Compensation
$25–$35 /hour depending on experience
10–20 hours per week
Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role located in Santa Monica, CA. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the dance programs, coordinating schedules, and overseeing activities to ensure smooth program execution. They will communicate with students, families, and instructors, work closely with regional center service coordinators, and be an integral part of the administrative team. Additionally, responsibilities include data project management, grant research and applications, and ensuring all aspects of the program run efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Availability to commit to Sunday classes, and 10-20 hours a week of remote work.
- Adaptability to new systems and software
- Strong Program Management and Program Development skills, with the ability to oversee operations and implement new initiatives effectively
- Proficiency in Project Management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities at once
- Proficiency in Data Management (Dancer, parent, and donor information)
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, and Forms)
- Prior experience with nonprofit organizations as a volunteer or employee.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills for engaging with participants, families, and team members
- Passion for working with diverse populations and people with disabilities
- Flexibility, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Preferences
- Prior CRM experience/familiarity
- Experience in the performing arts sector
- Grant research/writing experience
- Comfortable in grassroots or growing nonprofit environments
Salary : $25 - $35
