Fredericksburg Academy is seeking a dependable and professional Part-Time Key Holder! This role will be a trusted Fredericksburg Academy representative that oversees our facilities during rental events: doors open on time, spaces are respected, and every guest departs with a great impression of FA! Serving as the on-site representative during rentals, the Part-Time Key Holder will be responsible for ensuring a safe, organized, and positive experience for all guests. This role requires consistent presence and attentiveness throughout each shift
Responsibilities
- Open and close campus facilities for scheduled rental groups
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for all rental guests
- Monitor activity and ensure groups remain in approved areas only
- Control entry and exit times based on rental agreements
- Maintain a visible presence and uphold expectations for behavior and facility use
- Address questions or issues as they arise
- Serve as the on-site contact for emergencies and follow established procedures
- Conduct walkthroughs before/after rentals to ensure spaces are in good condition
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills with a professional and approachable demeanor
- Observant and proactive with good judgment
- Able to enforce rules respectfully and consistently
- Comfortable handling unexpected situations calmly
- Prior experience in customer service, events, or facility supervision preferred
- Must be 18 or older and have reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and be comfortable sitting, standing, and walking during the duration of each shift
- Background checks and Fingerprinting will be required
Schedule
- Evenings and weekends based on rental bookings
- Typically 3 to 4 evenings per week (3-4 hours per shift)
- Weekend shifts may be up to 8 hours
