Join our close-knit surgical team as a Pre-Op / PACU Registered Nurse, where you’ll play a hands-on role in guiding patients through every stage of their surgical journey. In this fast-paced yet supportive outpatient environment, you’ll combine clinical expertise, critical thinking, and compassionate care to ensure patients feel informed, safe, and comfortable before and after their procedures—all while enjoying a healthy work-life balance.
What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
- Monitor patients recovering from general, regional, or local anesthesia
- Obtain and document complete nursing histories and assessments
- Closely monitor vital signs and patient status, identifying and reporting any changes
- Administer medications safely and accurately
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and care team members
- Supervise and support non-licensed clinical staff as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in medical records
- Support a teamwork-based environment with opportunities for cross-training
- Follow all nursing standards, state regulations, and center policies
What We’re Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 2 PACU, pre-op, or perioperative experience preferred
- PALS and/or CNOR certification a plus
