Responsibilities
* Prepare the operating room for surgery like a rockstar, setting up equipment, instruments, and supplies with precision and speed.
* Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during procedures, maintaining a calm and focused demeanor even in high-pressure situations.
* Sterilize instruments and equipment with military precision, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
* Manage patient records and charts with ease, accurately documenting vital information and updates.
* Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient patient care, from pre-op to post-op.
* Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgeons' assistants, hold retractors, and cut sutures, and perform other tasks as directed by surgeon during operation.
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and colleagues alike.
* Stay current with the latest techniques, technologies, and best practices in surgical technology.
Qualifications
* Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT), preferred
* 1-2 years of experience in an operating room setting
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
