Responsibilities:
- Maintain a sterile field and follow all principles of sterile technique
- Prepare procedure rooms, scopes, and equipment before and after procedures
- Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopy procedures
- Perform equipment functionality checks and basic maintenance
- Collect, label, and deliver specimens while preserving sterile technique
- Assist with patient intake, transport, vital sign setup, and documentation
- Ensure accurate and concise recordkeeping
- Participate in continuing education and quality improvement activities
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition or procedural needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience required (endoscopy, surgical, or related clinical setting)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or LVN (preferred)
- CST or CORT certification (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
