Director of Finance and Accounting

Our client is a leader in the entertainment industry. They are committed to driving long-term value for their shareholders, customers, and employees. They are seeking a dynamic and hands on Director of Finance and Accounting to join their leadership team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budgeting, multi-year strategic planning, and quarterly forecasting processes for the corporation.
• Oversee accounting for various joint ventures and subsidiaries with individual reporting requirements
• Responsible for chart of accounts structure including title code controls
• Develop and implement financial models and analyses to evaluate major investment decisions, capital allocation, and M&A opportunities.
• Assist with acquisition accounting and integration.
• Directly responsible for intercompany accounts, eliminations and royalties
• Drive continuous improvement in financial performance metrics and reporting accuracy to support executive decision-making.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial and accounting leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a multi-national company
• Big 4 public accounting background and CPA preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial issues to non-financial audiences, analysts, and the Board of Directors.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate global teams in a complex organizational structure.
• Experience with M&A due diligence and integration.
• Direct experience managing a global debt portfolio and complex foreign exchange hedging programs.
