- Operates dump truck and trailer, front-end loader and attachments, bobcat and attachments, pickup with snowplow and hopper, heavy roller, backhoe in maintenance and construction of roads and tractor with sickle bar – rotary cutter; and uses various hand and power tools.
- Services and makes repairs and adjustments on equipment.
- When not operating heavy equipment, operates lighter equipment or trains other operators.
- Performs manual labor as directed by the manager or his/her designee.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years’ experience in the operation of motorized and heavy equipment.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of operating trucks and related heavy construction equipment. Thorough knowledge of the traffic laws and regulations governing equipment operation. Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations governing equipment operation.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Indoor and outdoor work is conducted in variable weather conditions – including extreme heat/cold. Exposed to high or low temperatures, humid conditions, and other unfavorable weather conditions throughout the year.
