- Key Responsibilities
- 50% of time commitment: Grow Bearing Division and Steel Ball Division sales at FRANTZ Mfg. by selling new business.
- 50% of the time will be spent managing active accounts in both Divisions.
- Coordinate and assist in defined activities in Bearing Division and Steel Ball Division Sales;
- Achievement of the annual sales goals for FRANTZ Bearing Division and Steel Ball Division in targeted customer segments.
- Research existing and historical sales to mine data and determine trends and opportunities
- Sell new business and new projects: Perform all preparation, actual contact and sales efforts, and follow-ups to sell programs
- Manage defined accounts for FRANTZ Mfg. Bearing Division
- Travel will be in defined areas and occasionally outside the region for specific trade shows or events.
- Travel percentage will be 40-60% of the time per month. 7-12 nights out per month, estimated
- A company vehicle is available for travel from Sterling on an as-needed basis—no everyday company car. Reimbursement for personal car mileage will be paid at the current IRS market rate. Car rentals for overnight travel if a company van is not available.
- Compensation will be a salary with significant commission opportunities.
- Residence near Sterling, Illinois, is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of 6 months of training at the Sterling facility is required.
- Qualifications
- College Degree preferred but not required; computer literacy a must
- 2-5 years of successful sales experience in a related industry preferred
- Ability to learn quickly about complex technical products and processes
- Communicate effectively with customers and multiple levels of the company
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate on various tasks and challenges.
- Ability to travel frequently with overnight stays as required
