GREENFIELD Baker To produce an assigned range of breads to achieve
department goals for sales, margin, labor expense, and customer
satisfaction. Essential Job Functions: Develop and maintain knowledge of
supply and delivery schedules. Develop a complete understanding of
baking production schedules. Prepare and produce products specified by
the Supervisor. Develop a working knowledge of department products and
product lines. Maintain full compliance with health department
regulations. Follow established record-keeping procedures and recipes to
meet the goals of product consistency, margin, labor data collection,
and accurate, up-to-date production records. Maintain storage and prep
areas in clean, orderly condition and good working order, and report
problem areas. Maintain product display areas throughout the shift to
ensure fullness, visual attractiveness, proper signage, and cleanliness.
Follow established department procedures for maintaining and developing
sourdough cultures. Follow established storage and labeling procedures.
Be clear about production schedules to respond to customer inquiries;
develop familiarity with special order systems. Become familiar with and
comfortable helping customers in the deli area and taking PFD catering
orders. Be prepared to assist customers over the phone and in person,
including knowledge of bakery product availability, ingredients, and
allergens. Agree to and sign the GFM recipe security agreement. Attend
regular department meetings. Demonstrate optimal standards for teamwork
with other staff. Maintain bakery area in sanitary and orderly
condition, following guidelines set by the Manager. Participate in
cooperative dishwashing as needed. Proactively clean up spills and
remove trash. Notify the Manager of equipment repair and/or replacement
