Summary
Franklin Road Academy's (FRA) Head Tennis Coach leads its Middle School and Upper School tennis programs during both the fall and spring seasons. This is a community coaching position and not a full-time role.

Essential Functions
The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the FRA Middle School and Upper School tennis programs
- Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices and match preparation
- Coach and develop student-athletes of varying skill levels
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, and character development
- Manage match-day operations, including lineups, communication, and supervision
- Coordinate both fall (developmental) and spring (competitive) seasons
- Collaborate with the Athletics Department on scheduling, facilities, and program needs
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school personnel
- Support and encourage multi-sport participation when appropriate
- Maintain compliance with all TSSAA rules and FRA policies
- Build a positive and unified program culture across Middle and Upper School levels
- Provide mentorship and skill development for assistant coaches (if applicable)
- Serve as a visible leader within the FRA athletics community
Education/Experience
Qualifications
- Previous tennis coaching experience at the middle school, high school, or collegiate level preferred
- Strong knowledge of tennis fundamentals, strategy, and player development
- Ability to connect with and motivate student-athletes
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to education-based athletics and student development
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
