Cafeteria WorkerReporting Relationships: Reports to Cafeteria Cook/Manager and Director of Food Services Bargaining Unit Agreements:General Responsibilities: To serve the school community quality, attractive, and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness. Qualifications:,/b> Must be ServSafe Manager Certified or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Must be ServSafe Allergen certified or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Previous experience working in a food production environment preferred
- School nutrition training and work experience preferred
- Effective oral, written communication, and technological skills Basic Computer Skills
- Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI).Physical Requirements:
- Extensive physical demands including but not limited to lifting up to 40lbs, bending, pushing, and pulling
- Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot/cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment Performance Responsibilities:
- Performs assigned duties in relation to the preparation of food, serving food, cashiering, washing dishes, and cleaning all areas of kitchen
- Removes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining area
- Follows all policies of the Food Service Program including safety measures, sanitation practices, personnel standards, uniform standards, work techniques, and performing duties
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment properly
- Maintains proper records as instructed including but not limited to: Production Records, Temperature Logs, and Cash Reports
- Understands the components of a reimbursable meal
- Ability to work in a friendly manner with co-workers and students
- Participates actively in maintaining the operation, cleaning, and sanitation of all equipment and facilities according to all HACCP and SOP requirements
- Follows the direction of the Director to complete work assignments
- Completes training opportunities as required program regulation
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure optimal program operation
