What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Administrative Assistant position at Franklin & Prokopik?
We are currently recruiting for Legal Administrative Assistant for our Downtown Baltimore office that has Litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, a self-starter, exercise discernment, plan ahead, and be able to maintain composure in stressful situations. Candidate should have a minimum of two years experience in a professional law firm setting.
Job Duties
- Transcribing dictation
- Drafting and formatting letters
- Scanning and saving documents the document management system (Time
- Matters aka TM) in a proficient manner
- Answering and directing attorneys’ phone calls
- Keeping attorneys’ calendars up to date
- Open and closing files
- Converting documents from pdf to MS Word format
- Filing
- Receiving and sending mail
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Associates’ degree or equivalent years of experience.
Minimum Work Experience:
- Two years’ law firm experience.
Technical Skills:
- Experienced and skilled in computer systems in a windows and
Microsoft based environment.
- Transcribing.
- Ability to learn new software systems easily.
Communication Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to articulate clearly and effectively.
- Superior listening, oral and written skills.

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
