JOB SUMMARY

The Visitor Experience Associate provides excellent customer service while engaging with patrons at the Ticket Center both in person and on the telephone. The Visitor Experience Associate also offers information and interpretation to our general admission guests and occasionally leads scheduled group tours of the Conservatory.

This is a part-time, seasonal position working an average of 25 hours per week from May 2026 - September, 2026.

Compensation: $16/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates excellence in customer service for both internal and external patrons of the Conservatory.

• Greets, acknowledges, and provides Conservatory event information to our patrons, suggests membership, processes transactions for admission tickets, memberships, and class registrations.

• Demonstrates accurate cash handling and reconciliation skills.

• Administers the opening and closing procedures of the Visitor Center.

• Answers the main phone line and responds to inquiries.

• Makes every effort to find solutions to visitor concerns.

• Engages patrons in formal and informal information and collection interpretation throughout the Conservatory.

• Occasionally leads and interacts with scheduled group tours.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned and demonstrates focus on serving the patrons of the Conservatory.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Minimum 1 year cash handling and register experience.

• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, occasional nights, and holidays.

SKILLS REQUIRED AND RESULTS TYPICALLY ACHIEVED

• Outstanding customer services skills displayed in a positive and friendly manner.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfortable meeting and engaging with patrons.

• Knowledge of cash procedures and register operations.

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

• Basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
