What are the responsibilities and job description for the Classroom Paraprofessional/Classroom Aide position at Franklin County Community School Corporation?

The purpose of the Paraprofessional is to work at the building level to provide instruction and/or
support to students.
Prepare classroom activities under the supervision of a licensed teacher- Work with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher
- Assist individual students in need of special attention
- Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up by the teacher
- Read to students, listen to students read, and participate in other forms of oral communication
with the students
- Perform clerical duties
- Assist teacher with non-instructional classroom duties
- Participate in in-service training programs as assigned
- Assist with the implementation of accommodations as specified in the IEP (when applicable)
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Director of Operations
Have completed at least two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education or hold an
associate degree or higher, or passed the ParaPro examination
Salary : $14 - $17
