What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lounge Supervisor position at FRANKENMUTH BAVARIAN INN LODGE?
Hours: Full Time 45-50 hours average per week
Earliest Start Time: 9am
Latest End Time: 4am
*Must be available to work a combination of shift hours betweenthese times on weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Function: Assists withthe overall functions of the Lounge, Biergarten and Banquet Lounges. Orders supplies and merchandise needed tooperate efficiently and to maintain sales. Inventories bar items on a periodic basis to check bar stock levels,helps with monthly inventories, monitors schedules and supervises all Bar personnel;upholds and enforces all policies of the Bavarian Inn Lodge and the liquor lawsof the State of Michigan and the laws of the Department of Health. Documents performance of employees forreviews and evaluations to insure a professional and motivated staff. Develops ways to promote sales. Recommendsways to insure guest satisfaction; insures the safety and security of ourguests, employees, and of all inventories and money. Experiments with new ideas or menu items formonthly specials. Monitors quality,professionalism and nightly schedules of entertainment featured in the LoreleiLounge. Spot checks inventory andcalculate costs and sales to control theft as directed. Responsible for the training of all newLounge employees. Assists withdepartment meetings for the bartenders and for helping with the training ofwait staff at their meetings to build their knowledge of Alcohol. Assists with all the Events that are held inthe Lounge as planned by the Lounge Manager. Is knowledgeable with all the equipment in order to keep things functionaland operational and knows who to ask for help or call in an emergency.

BasicQualifications:
Associatedegree or equivalent.
Minimumtwo years bartending and food service experience.
Knowledgeof beer, wines, and liquor from brewing or distillation to final service in aDining Room situation.
Managerialand training ability to motivate, train staff and to conduct evaluations andreprimands.
Basicunderstanding of costing, pricing and ordering techniques.
Abilityto stand all day for 8-12 hours.
Abilityto carry trays continually.
Abilityto lift kegs into portable coolers.
Abilityto lift moderate to heavy weight to transport cases of beer, wine and liquor.
Goodmath skills to handle money and calculate cost of goods.
Abilityto use a computerized POS system.
Computerskills to be able to set up and document department and personal goals
Goodverbal and written communication skills.
