Frank Black Pipe & Supply Co. is seeking a skilled and motivated full-time Mechanic to join our team We are a family owned and operated steel pipe dealer based in McPherson, Kansas, providing steel pipe and other related steel material. This position involves working on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment, including:
- Semi-trucks and trailers
- Loaders, forklifts, and UTVs
- Welders, generators, and lawn equipment
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on diverse equipment
- Complete and submit repair orders accurately, tracking time and expenses
- Conduct preventative maintenance, manage schedules of all units – includes parts ordering/management of parts & supply inventory
- Class A CDL required, training available for the right candidate
- DOT inspections
- Drive company vehicles when needed
- Assist in the Pipe Yard and/or Weld Shop as required
Requirements/Experience:
- Required: 1–5 years, Preferred: 5 years
- Recent technical school graduates considered based on ability
- DOT Certification: REQUIRED
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and listening skills; team-oriented
- Computer proficiency and problem-solving ability
