Food Production Supervisor AM/PM

Summary:

Responsible for running a safe, efficient and productive operation.

Maintains a high level of trust and confidentiality as he is entrusted with privileged information on product formulas and manufacturing procedures.

Fills production reports and directly oversees the work of the production personnel in the Flour Plant and the completion of final product according to company standards and specifications.

Essential Functions:

· Directly supervises the production line employees during production.

· Ensures that all the personnel has been properly trained and certified in the use of machines and safety procedures.

· Fills out production reports.

· Follows production reports and adheres to production times, quality procedures and company safety standards at all times.

· Monitors the overall functionality of the plant throughout his shift and reacts to any abnormalities that might interfere with the quality or specifications of finished product, safely and as quickly as possible.

· Ensures that the production plant stays clean and free of hazards.

· Ensures that proper stock of raw and packing materials are always readily available for production.

Physical Demands:

· Frequent bending, twisting and lifting.

· Occasional kneeling.

· Ability to lift unassisted 30 - 50 lbs at a time.

· Working standing for long periods of time.

· Ability to move in very narrow spaces.

· Working in a warm environment with flour dust.

· Working in a loud production environment.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

· At least 3 plus years experience as a Supervisor in Food Manufacturing Plants.

· Knowledge of mass production tortilla machines and operations.

· Ability to communicate in a clear manner and follow specific instructions.

· Able to read, write and fill out reports related to finished product.

· Able to concentrate and work well under pressure.

· Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

· Basic arithmetic skills.

· Ability to work, relate and guide others.

· Ability to follow and implement safety guidelines.

· Well organized.
