Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews and subcontractors on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction scheduling software to track progress and coordinate activities.
- Review construction drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of design intent.
- Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, reviewing contracts, and coordinating with estimators to control expenses effectively.
- Enforce OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Oversee quality control processes by conducting regular site inspections, supervising construction testing procedures (including ohmmeter testing), and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers on procurement activities using HeavyBid or other estimating tools; manage delivery schedules for pipeline components or other critical materials.
- Supervise the review of construction drawings for accuracy and compliance; manage change orders and contractual adjustments as needed.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders by preparing progress reports, managing project documentation in construction management software like ProCore or Bluebeam, and conducting regular site meetings.
- Ensure timely completion of all phases of the project while managing risks related to schedule delays or technical issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience infrastructure construction management with a strong background in managing large-scale projects involving pipelines or similar infrastructure.
- Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling tools such as BuilderTrend software and Bluebeam.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans accurately.
- Supervisory experience supervising teams in a fast-paced construction environment; excellent leadership skills are essential.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and federal safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively while managing project schedules and deadlines.
- Construction site experience demonstrating hands-on knowledge of safety protocols, quality control procedures, and technical troubleshooting.
