What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director EVS position at Franciscan Health?
The Director EVS oversees the overall management, coordination, and support of Environmental Services and Linen Department, and their activities, and works with staff at all levels of the facility regarding the cleanliness of the hospital facility. This position ensures that the hospital meets all regulatory and compliance requirements, including ISDH and HFAP. The Director develops and manages a budget, enacts decisions that align with the departmental budget goals, and ensures departments meet goals and targets for budgets and productivity. The Director, also, oversees departmental staff, including performance management and hiring new staff.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Develop and manage one or multiple departmental budgets, including making budget allocations, approving expenditures and ensuring expenses are within budget.
Ensure department meets all regulatory guidelines and requirements.
Ensure departmental quality assurance program is implemented and managed effectively.
Make decisions for direct reports in one or multiple departments, and perform people management activities, such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews.
Set clear expectations regarding accountability and empowers employees to act, to achieve optimal performance from the EVS team.
Supervise managers or supervisors within one or multiple departments, and manage the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Related field - Preferred
5 years Management experience - Required
Dept of Trans Training (DOTTRN) - As Required by Unit within 90 days of hire - Required
Certified Environmental Services Executive (CESE) - The Indoor Environmental Healthcare and Hospitality Association (IEHA) As Required by Unit within 1- 1/2 years - Required
