WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Document patient care information and ensure timely and accurate completion of patient care records in accordance with policies and procedures.
Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding abnormal finding and patient progress.
Conduct pre-test screening with thorough chart review to gather relevant medical history.
Interview patient and provide education on cardiac testing.
Complete pre-test assessment of vitals (heart rate, rhythm, blood pressure and symptoms).
Start IV's and administer medication intravenously under physician direction.
Adhere to nuclear medicine safety measures throughout nuclear cardiac procedures.
Interpret 12 lead EKGs. Recognize changes in routine wave forms, artifact as well as critical conditions such as segment elevation/depression, infarct patterns and life threatening arrhythmias.
Perform standard resting electrocardiograms and apply holter and cardiac event monitoring systems. Instruct patients on monitoring and ensure follow-up with the physician.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required and
- Master's Degree Preferred
- 1 year Physical Medicine/Rehabilitation Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - . within 180 Days Required and
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association within 180 Days Required
