What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operating Room Registered Nurse position at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital?
HOURS:Full or Part Time; 3-5 days/week, varying shifts.
REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a Registered Nurse degree through an accredited program. 1 year of general nursing experience preferred will consider advanced orientation for new graduates. Current CPR required, ACLS-preferred.
JOB SUMMARY:The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including patient care, patient/family education and transition of care utilizing the nursing process. Registered Nurse will be trained in the areas of the Operating Room and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (Recovery Room). RN will prepare OR for surgery and care for surgical patients throughout the duration of their procedure and in the Recovery Room.
