What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital?
HOURS: Full time, Monday-Friday, Flexible hours
REQUIREMENTS: Current State of Montana Speech-Language Pathologist License. Master’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders from an accredited program by council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or its equivalent. Passed the National Praxis examination in speech-language pathology or its equivalent.
DUTIES: Qualified Applicant will be responsible for accessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs and plans of care that develop and improve speech-language skills to improve communicative skills. Perform and document initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention and treatment. Administer interventions and treatments to help improve the patient’s overall function. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Work with patients, medical practitioners and other appropriate personal to plan, implement and assess the intervention for the patient. Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progression in patients charts timely using Meditech EMR system.
