As an Account Executive at Framing Technology Inc., you will play a key role in both maintaining existing client relationships and driving new business through proactive outbound sales efforts. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position combines the responsibilities of sales fulfillment, customer service, and strategic account development. You will work with internal teams and systems (CRM, ERP) to ensure customer satisfaction, order accuracy, and company profitability while identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a main point of contact for assigned customer accounts via phone, email, in-person, and e-commerce.
- Conduct outbound sales efforts including cold calls, prospect follow-ups, and outreach to dormant or past accounts to generate new leads and sales opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through research, prospecting, and consistent follow-up.
- Create and manage customer quotes and orders in CRM and ERP systems.
- Enter and maintain accurate customer data, documentation, and project information.
- Follow up on quotes, ensuring timely order conversion and customer satisfaction.
- Interpret customer technical drawings and specs in collaboration with engineering to support quoting and project planning.
- Report weekly sales metrics, forecasts, and outbound activity summaries (calls, emails, social media outreach) to the Sales Manager.
- Handle all customer inquiries and returns in a timely, solution-focused manner.
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to meet customer deadlines and project requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of printed documents for warehouse processing.
- Stay informed on company policies, products, and pricing updates.
- Maintain a positive and professional image and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in sales, account management, or customer service (manufacturing/industrial sector a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Confident in conducting outbound calls and initiating new customer relationships.
- Organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, ERP software, and cloud-based platforms (Google Workspace, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and warehouse staff.
Compensation Plan:
Base salary
Account executives are eligible to earn additional compensation each quarter through performance-based incentives tied to core customer growth, total revenue, and new customer acquisition.
To qualify for quarterly incentives and commissions, all account executives must meet baseline activity levels which include outbound activity, quote and lead follow-up, and CRM/ERP compliance.
