Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing recommendations and taking drink orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, and mixers; restock as necessary.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Assist in setting up for special events such as banquets or private parties.
- Stay updated on new drink recipes, trends in the beverage industry, and local craft brews.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for guests.
- Experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred; bartending experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of retail math to manage inventory effectively.
- Familiarity with banquet service procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as nightclubs or busy bars.
