What You'll Do Day-To-Day
- Examine equipment to diagnose trouble and effect repairs or replacement of broken parts.
- Adjust functional parts of equipment as required
- Adhere to established industry and safety practices.
- Inspect completed work and ensure that work conforms to requirements of local building and safety codes.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Millwright card preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years work experience which relates to the mechanical maintenance field, such as, repair of mechanical systems, metal fixture fabrication, welding, equipment alignment techniques and repair of pumps.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance techniques, material, tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow and carry out written and oral instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment operation experience is desirable.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including rotating shift assignment.
- Ability to function well as a member of the work team.
Total Rewards Package
- Salary: Starting salary of $54.18 per hour increasing to $57.03 per hour after a 6 month probationary period, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
