What You’ll Do Day-To-Day:
- Plans, organizes, prioritizes, monitors and controls the work activities of the group(s) in accordance with customer requirements and company policies, procedures and objectives.
- Trains, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
- Typically approves employees' timecards and participates in employee selection process.
- May recommend wage adjustment or change of status.
- Supervises group's performance to complete work within budget and schedule.
- Ensures staff adherence to quality, regulatory and safety requirements.
- Facilitates implementation of workflow methods and team improvements.
- Provides expertise to staff in resolution of non-routine manufacturing/technical problems.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Minimum of 5 years related experience or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes and skill in applying manufacturing team concepts.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers.
- Understanding of machining, assembly, fabrication, or other relevant production methods.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
- Knowledge of ISO standards or industry-specific quality systems. OSHA regulations and workplace safety protocols.
- Root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
Total Rewards Package
- Salary: $92,000 - $124,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
