What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vehicle Integration Applications Engineer – Mobility Conversions position at FR Conversions?
Shape Accessible Mobility From Concept to Road
Imagine starting your day on the shop floor, stepping from a CAD station to a prototype bay. You fit-test a new bracket you designed yesterday, tack weld an aluminum component, then walk it over to validation for a quick check. By afternoon, you’re collaborating with R&D on a CAN bus issue, documenting an engineering change, and ensuring our conversion meets FMVSS/NHTSA and ADA-related performance criteria for the end user. That’s a typical day for a Vehicle Integration Applications Engineer at FR Conversions.
Why FR Conversions
We don’t just upfit vehicles—we engineer independence. In our vertically integrated, fast-growing manufacturing environment, you’ll watch your ideas progress from sketch to prototype to production under one roof, working shoulder-to-shoulder with Fabrication, Pre-Production, and Production teams to solve real problems that impact safety, quality, and people’s lives.
What You’ll Do Engineering & Product Development
This is a full-time, salaried position with competitive pay commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation is administered in accordance with applicable labor laws, FR Conversions’ policies, and payroll regulations (including taxes and withholdings).
Job Categorization
This position is a full-time, salaried, FLSA exempt role (SOC Code – 17-2199).
This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position.
