Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Safety Coordinator located in Augusta, GA. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, conducting safety training sessions, overseeing compliance with occupational health regulations, and leading accident investigations. This role includes ensuring a safe work environment and promoting a culture of safety throughout the company.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards
- Ability to conduct Safety Training sessions tailored to various employee groups
- Proficiency in investigating and documenting workplace accidents to determine root causes
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and workplace safety best practices
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Certification in occupational safety or a related field is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred
