Morrie’s Auto Group is looking for a high-impact Senior Manager, Digital Marketing & Strategy to architect and own the digital presence for our 33 dealerships across the Upper Midwest. Ideal candidate is a seasoned automotive digital expert who can dictate strategy to our agencies, hold third-party providers accountable, drive innovation across marketing and relentlessly optimize our eCommerce lead funnel.
This is a marketing leadership role for an expert to serve as our Head of Digital Strategy. You will be the primary authority on how Morrie’s wins the digital battle, overseeing a substantial aggregate ad spend and ensuring our digital footprint is the benchmark for the industry.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Agency & Vendor Command: Act as the primary point of contact for SEM, SEO, and specialized digital agencies. You won't be setting up the campaigns; you’ll be dictating the strategy, setting the KPIs, and holding them accountable for every dollar spent.
- Third-Party Lead Strategy: Own the relationships and ROI for major providers like Cars.com, Autotrader, CarGurus, and TrueCar. You will decide the mix, the spend, and the strategy to ensure these leads convert.
- Enterprise Digital Presence: Oversee the digital health of 33 rooftops. This includes Google Business Profile (GMB) dominance, local SEO/AIO (AI Optimization) strategies, and ensuring brand consistency across the entire group.
- E-Commerce Lead Funnel: Lead the strategy for our digital retailing tools and lead providers. You’ll work to ensure the handoff from "Digital Lead" to "Showroom Appointment" is seamless and high-converting.
- Leadership & Team Growth: Directly manage the Website Operations Manager to ensure our 33 websites are high-performing, compliant with OEM standards, and optimized for the modern shopper.
- Reporting & Intelligence: Consolidate data into high-level digital reporting for the VP of Marketing and Executive leadership. Using GA4, Vistadash, SEMRush and agency analysis, you turn "clicks and impressions" into actionable insight.
WHO YOU ARE
- Automotive Veteran: You have intimate knowledge of the dealership world. Whether you’ve worked for a large Dealer Group, an OEM, or a Tier 3 provider (e.g., Shift, JD Power, Ansira, Dealer.com), you speak the language of "VDPs," "CPL," and "Co-op Compliance."
- The "Agency Liaison": You know exactly how agencies operate. You can spot a "fluff" report from a mile away and know how to push partners to deliver actual ROI.
- Data-Driven Architect: You don't guess; you use data to dictate where the next $100k of ad spend should go. You understand how AIO (AI Optimization) is changing search and are already ahead of the curve.
- High-Stakes Player: You are excited by the challenge of 33 stores. You thrive in an environment where your strategy directly impacts the bottom line of a multi-billion dollar organization.
Qualifications
- 5 years of heavy-hitting digital marketing experience, with a significant portion in the Automotive Industry.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale budgets across SEM, Video, and Third-Party marketplaces.
- Expert-level understanding of Google Analytics (GA4), Google Business Profile, and the current SEM, SEO, AIO landscape.
- Experience in a leadership or management role (direct reports preferred).
- Deep familiarity with automotive website platforms (Team Velocity, DealerInspire, Dealer.com, DealerOn, etc.) and Digital Retailing tools.

Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
