FPD, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics / Customs Broker Assistant to support daily Foreign Trade Zone operations, customs brokerage activities, and international trade compliance. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow their expertise in customs compliance, FTZ administration, and global supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily/weekly FTZ filings and documentation in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, including Forms 214, 3461, 7501, 7512, and related filings
- Monitor FTZ inventory movements, admissions, transfers, withdrawals, and reconciliation processes
- Coordinate with warehouses, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and government agencies to ensure timely shipment processing
- Review import/export documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding shipment status, documentation, and compliance matters
- Identify and investigate discrepancies related to inventory, entries, and shipment documentation
- Utilize Magaya, ACELYNK, ACE, and related logistics/compliance systems to process transactions and maintain accurate records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies across FTZ and brokerage operations
Qualifications
- 2 years of support experience in FTZ operations, customs brokerage, import/export logistics, or trade compliance
- Working knowledge of FTZ regulations, CBP procedures, and customs documentation filings and requirements
- Familiarity with CBP ACE portal, in-bond procedures, and inventory control processes
- Experience with Magaya and/or ACELYNK strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of import/export documentation and logistics workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
