What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer - Manufacturing position at FPD Company?
FPD Company, a subsidiary of Trigon Holding, Inc., is currently seeking a Laborer. Located in McMurray, PA, FPD Company is a technology driven, global manufacturer of forged and machined titanium aerospace components and medical implants. Our knowledge of materials, precision manufacturing methods and a comprehensive quality system enable us to meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace and medical industries.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in Machine and Forge shop activities.
- Load and unload materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks.
- Pull raw material from stock, count and update storage record, load pieces onto carts, then deliver it to its designated processing area.
- Operate fork truck to store and disperse raw material throughout the plant and unloading of trucks.
- Removes burrs or excess metal from machined parts.
- Run roto finisher and shot blaster.
- Responsible for housekeeping of the manufacturing area including disposal of trash, cleaning the floor with a floor scrubbing machine and keeping all equipment wiped clean.
- Assist and/or replace Shipper in Shipping Area due to volume or Shipper's absence.
Qualifications:
- Three months related experience and/or training.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
