What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at FP Family Residential Care?
- Provide daily supervision, support, and direct care to residents.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, and other personal-care needs.
- Support residents with their individual program/service plans and daily goals.
- Provide positive behavioral support, redirection, and assistance with challenging behaviors.
- Assist with medication-related duties as trained and authorized.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioral condition.
- Complete daily notes, medication records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Prepare and cook meals according to residents' dietary needs and facility menus.
- Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable home environment.
- Perform routine housekeeping and basic household maintenance duties.
- Assist with laundry, dishes, cleaning common areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen areas.
- Support residents with household chores and independent-living skills.
- Ensure the home is organized, well-maintained, and free of safety hazards.
- Follow facility policies, safety procedures, resident rights requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, supervisors, and coworkers.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and participate in required training and drills.
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
