What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Support Specialist (Direct Support) Day Program position at SVS?
Social Vocational Services (SVS) has been serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout California since 1977.
SVS is seeking caring, reliable, dedicated and outgoing individual to provide one-on-one individualized support as a Personal Support Specialist at our SOLEDAD program.
Hiring Bonus! $750 after your 60th day of full attendance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide one-to-one training or adaptive services to a specific client enrolled in the Day Program (including, but not limited to: paid work, social skills building, art, recreation, volunteering)
- Develop and monitor individual client plans within the Program.
- Assist with personal hygiene needs as needed.
- Assess, evaluate, implement and chart client's progress on goals and objectives
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must obtain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance
- Must pass post-job offer job-related physical exam including TB test
- First Aid/CPR certification (SVS will provide)
- Effective written and verbal communication
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
