What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA Personal Care Assistant Part-Time Overnights position at FOXDALE: A Colony Court Senior Living Solution?
We are seeking to fill positions on our overnight shift.
PCA's (Personal Care Assistant) main role is to provide basic care to patients in an assisted living community, assisting them in daily activities they might have trouble with on their own, such as bathing. Because of the personal nature of the job, we are seeking applicants that possess people skills and the ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others.
PCA's / CNA's assist patients with daily activities and with additional training have additional responsibilities, such as administering medication and cleaning common areas. The core functions on the job include:
- Take vital signs
- Perform well checks
- Answer resident calls
- Examine residents for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds
- Cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms & other common areas
PCA's also serve as a conduit between patients and nurses and doctors and record and communicate all issues to medical staff.
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $ $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
