RATE: $16/hour - minimum starting rate

QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess high school diploma or GED with a strong interest in sports and at least three years playing volleyball at a competitive level. Prefer candidates to have prior experience working with children and/or an interest in education or recreation as a possible career goal. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential. Must have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task with a capability to perform in high-energy environment. Must have CPR/First Aid Certification or obtain through the Park District within 3 months of hire. Must have a valid drivers license and/or reliable transportation.
DUTIES
Under the direction and supervision of the Athletics Supervisor, the PT Head Coach's primary responsibility will be to provide basic, detailed instruction in volleyball. Responsibilities include learning and knowing MVP Sports Academy program curriculum Providing lead instruction in classes and camps, behavior management and safety. The position requires effective communication with the supervisor, other instructors, program participants, and their parents, on a regular basis and the ability to respond effectively and quickly in varying situations. This is an at-will position.
