We are a fast-paced and growing tax office looking to hire a Front Desk Receptionist to assist with daily operations during our busy tax season. This is a temporary position from January 5th through April 30th. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, personable, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet clients as they arrive and ensure they are properly checked in.
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate departments or staff members.
- Schedule and confirm client appointments.
- Handle client paperwork and ensure all necessary documents are completed.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming front desk area.
- Respond to client inquiries via phone and email in a professional manner.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and recordkeeping.
- Ensure office supplies are stocked and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of daily operations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required (some college coursework or degree is a plus).
- Previous front desk or receptionist experience in a fast-paced office setting.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Friendly and professional demeanor, with the ability to interact with a variety of clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Punctual and reliable.
Bonus Qualifications:
- QuickBooks invoicing or accounting software experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in a tax or accounting office setting is a bonus.
