ASME Quality Control Manager (Pressure Vessel Manufacturer)
Reports to: Quality Director
- Quality Manger shall maintain and develop ASME “U” stamps and the NBIC “R” stamp certification programs. ISO 9001 or API Q1 experience is a plus but not required.
- Quality Manager shall be responsible for maintaining and updating the Quality Manual to meet Code, organizational and design changes.
- Will be the Quality Representative for ASME, AWS, NBIC, and other regulatory agencies.
- Shall maintain and produce PQR’s/ WPS’s as necessary and test and create welder qualifications to meet ASME Section IX requirements.
- Review MTR’s for material compliance to ASME Section II.
- Familiarity with NDE methods (VT, PT, MT, RT, UT) and interpreting results. Will schedule any NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) for Code Products
- Review technical bid(s) and project kick-off meetings to assess and mitigate quality risks.
- Review and qualify the Quality Management Systems of suppliers and subcontractors used in Code-related manufacturing.
- Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for NCRs.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and customer specifications.
- Shall have the ability to perform and lead quality audits, both internally and externally.
- Will provide technical guidance on code requirements to shop floor personnel.

- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in QA/QC, Welding Inspection, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality control/inspection in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 12F, AWS D1.1, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Any certifications like AWS CWI, API 510/ 570, ASNT II/ III are a plus, but not required.
- Travel: Up to 10% per year to visit other facilities etc.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
