Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in multiple offices for an Intellectual Property Patent Associate. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of patent drafting and prosecution experience. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) and USPTO registration required. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required; graduate degree a plus. Must be licensed to practice in the state of employment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong academic record and excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Experience preparing and prosecuting U.S. provisional, utility, and international patent applications, preparing patentability opinions, and strategically planning and maintaining patent portfolios in these areas required.
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
- Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
- New Jersey: $215,000 - $245,000
- New York & Washington, DC: $240,000 - $270,000
