Compensation Manager

Where Pay Strategy Meets People Strategy.

Hybrid in Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area

The Compensation Manager owns the company's compensation strategy end-to-end, from banding and grade structures to salary bands, career tracks, and market benchmarking. This role designs commission and bonus plans that motivate performance across the business and keeps pay practices compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. This is the role for someone who moves comfortably between spreadsheets and people, and wants a seat at the table shaping how the company rewards its team.

Your Primary Focus Is To:

• Design commission and bonus plans that reward performance across our sales, remarketing, and operations teams.

• Align total rewards decisions with business objectives and growth plans.

• Build and maintain the banding and grade structure that gives the company a consistent way to level roles across departments.

• Establish salary bands and career tracks that give employees a clear path for growth.

• Lead market benchmarking studies to keep pay competitive within the car rental and mobility industry.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal compensation regulations, including pay transparency requirements in the markets where we operate.

• Partner with HR Business Partners and department leaders across our U.S. locations to ensure consistent, defensible pay decisions at every level.

• Support the annual merit and bonus cycle, including manager guidance materials and compensation review timelines.

• Conduct periodic pay equity audits and recommend corrective action where gaps are identified.

• Serve as the point of contact for manager and employee compensation questions, appeals, and escalations.

• Support compensation modeling for organizational changes, restructures, and new role creation across Fox and Europcar Mobility Group USA.

• Train and coach people managers on the company's compensation philosophy and how to communicate pay decisions to their teams.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required.

• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or similar certification preferred.

• 5 years of progressive experience in compensation, total rewards, or a related HR discipline.

• Demonstrated experience designing and administering commission and bonus plans.

• Experience building or maintaining banding and grade structures and salary bands.

• Experience conducting market benchmarking using tools such as Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, or Radford.

• Working knowledge of HRIS and compensation planning systems; Workday experience preferred.

• Experience partnering with senior leadership to align pay practices with business strategy.

Skills & Strengths:

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to model and interpret compensation data.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and compensation modeling tools.

• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local compensation regulations, including pay transparency requirements.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations clearly to senior leadership.

• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential compensation information.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

• Strategic thinker who can translate business objectives into effective total rewards programs.
