A Day in the Life of a Dispatcher
- Move appointments and route technicians when necessary.
- Attend DCM meetings
- Bring Visibility to all branch openings for new sales
- Manage time to stay ahead on scheduling and routing
- Communicate with the inside sales team and with each branch's operations manager regularly
- Understand differences between branches and apply as necessary
- Contact customers to reschedule appointments if needed
- Work with individual sales representatives on a case-by-case basis
- Adjust schedule when technicians are unable to work (e.g. sick)
- Notify the sales team when branches quickly become booked or if there are sudden openings
- Set up a system to effectively schedule on days off
- Be comfortable using various aspects of the pest routes system
