Opportunity Overview
Family-owned campground in the popular Wisconsin Dells area looking for a Campground Operations Assistant to assist the managers in the daily operation of the facility.
Position Summary:
The Operations Assistant will be responsible for working with the Campground Manager to oversee all aspects of the campground operations. This will include establishing and enforcing outstanding guest relations, welcoming guests at check-in, assisting guests in the campground store and snack shop, as well as day to day grounds maintenance functions. Approximately 80% of the Assistant’s time will be spent in the campground office/store and 20% will be working outside on grounds maintenance.
Responsibilities include:
- Booking reservations using the campground computer reservation system
- Executing daily campground opening and closing procedures
- Assist with all aspects of the campground office and store including delivering firewood to campsites
- Serve guests in a small campground snack bar
- Help maintain campground office, bathhouse and pool facilities
- Cutting grass, cleaning fire pits, string trimming, helping with grounds maintenance as needed, ie: tree pruning, storm clean-up, and other miscellaneous duties
- General cleaning and maintain of equipment as needed
- Ability to provide simple repairs and maintenance around the campground
Education/Experience:
- Excellent strong customer service skills
- Strong self-starter and motivator, good interpersonal skills
- High School Diploma / GED Equivalency preferred
- Prior experience in a campground or customer service related environment preferred
- Ideal candidate will be “handy” and have experience performing simple repair and maintenance
Additional Details:
Timing: Hours starting now (10-25 hours/week) with main hours starting mid-May 2026 thru end of Sept 2026 (30-40 hours/week)
Other: Use of all the campground facilities including the swimming pool
