What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Loan Closer II position at Fox Communities Credit Union?
We currently have a career opportunity for a full-time Mortgage Loan Closer II based out of our corporate office (Enterprise) in Appleton! After initial onboarding onsite, this position could have the opportunity for hybrid (3 days onsite/week, 2 remote) work consideration. However, candidates must reside in Wisconsin to be considered.
The Mortgage Loan Closer II assists members and Fox Mortgage Loan Originators with their Real Estate Loan applications, completing closing documents and other loan-closing related functions to ensure a superior member experience. This role also backs up fellow Closing team members with pipeline management while they are out of the office.
The primary responsibilities of the Mortgage Loan Closer II role include but are not limited to:
- Promoting and upholding the Fox Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values
- Preparing mortgage closing documents for a variety of Credit Union loan products including but not limited to home equity products, purchase, refinance, and construction transactions
- Validating loan application information for accuracy and ensuring closing deadlines are met
- Completing necessary TRID documentation to provide to members, Mortgage Loan Originators, and third-party vendors thoroughly and accurately prior to closing
- Preparing loan files for booking to Credit Union Core system
- Interacting professionally with internal and external members, Mortgage Loan Originators, real estate agents, and outside third-party associated vendors to obtain necessary documentation, communicate clear expectations, details of the loan file, or troubleshoot items in a timely manner
- Assisting with training team members on Mortgage Loan Closer duties as needed
Candidates for the Mortgage Loan Closer II position should possess:
- Three to five years of similar or related experience
- Knowledge of credit union products and service is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, written and communication skills
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organization skills
- Ability to successfully resolve conflict and problem solve
- Ability to work independently to organize and prioritize tasks, manage time to meet deadlines, understand potential issues, and steps to resolve
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Hours of this position: 40 hrs./wk. Mon. – Fri. 8am-5pm
