Our renowned wholesale footwear client, is seeking a seasoned and dynamic senior director of finance to join their team! They are seeking a candidate with experience working in public accounting as well as wholesale consumer good products.
Responsibilities:
- Manager all financial activities, including monthly closings & daily transaction details
- Report on revenue, monthly financials, financial audits, bank audits, licensing audits and budgeting, cash flow
- Collect and disburse funds, manage risk and implement policies
- Prepare and file tax documents, create financial reports
- Improve financial processes both systematically and procedurally
- Keep abreast the financing dynamics of this business
- Focus on Inventory, cost control, customer dilution work with key team members
- Lead and manage customer account relationships
Qualifications:
- Accountant w/ CPA, MBA or master’s in accounting degree, required
- 3 years experience in a public accounting firm
- 10-15 years experience in Public Accounting or a mix w/ Private Industry
- Proven leader and strong manager or has raised to a mid-management level role
- Experience in consumer goods business, preferably in fashion
- Experience in a branding business preferable
- Understanding financing, asset based loans with financial covenants
- Working knowledge of operations/logistics and selling side of the business
- Familiarity in IT knowledge including large ERP systems
- High level of integrity and honesty
- True leader through actions and able to lead by example
- Approachable leader who can motivate and create positive company culture
- Team builder, collaborator and a mentor
- Keen problem solving and logical decision-making ability
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Build trust with owners and seniors teams to gain supreme confidence
