What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Director position at Fourth Floor?
Our client, a hard goods wholesaler, is seeking a Logistics Director to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end order processing, including entry, tracking, updates, and discrepancy resolution
- Coordinate inventory levels and fulfillment with the Colombia operations team and 3PL partners
- Oversee import logistics, container tracking, and all related documentation and follow-ups
- Work closely with carriers and warehouses to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries
- Prepare shipping documents, invoices, and compliance files (training available for international docs)
- Serve as the main point of contact for sales reps and internal teams regarding order and shipping status
- Maintain accurate records in Netsuite and ensure clean, organized operational data
- Identify process gaps and proactively resolve issues related to shipments, returns, and delays
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, order management, supply chain, or import operations
- Experience with ERP platforms (Netsuite preferred; A2000 or similar systems welcome)
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes including importing, shipping, receiving, and inventory coordination
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working across teams and time zones
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, positive attitude and strong cultural fit—personality matters to this team
- Experience working with 3PLs, freight forwarders, or import logistics is a plus
Full time on site.
$100k-$140k depending on experience
