Our client, a high-growth jewelry and consumer brand is seeking a Director of Planning to lead and scale its merchandising planning function. This strategic leadership role is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, operationally minded, and AI-native, with experience building scalable planning processes in fast-paced e-commerce or retail environments.
What You’ll Do:
• Own merchandise financial planning and inventory investment strategy across the business
• Develop and manage sales and inventory forecasts to support company growth goals
• Drive inventory health and proactively identify risks and opportunities
• Build and optimize scalable planning processes and workflows
• Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, operations, finance, and marketing leadership
• Lead and mentor planning team members while helping shape the future of the function
What We’re Looking For:
• Significant experience in omni-channel retail or e-commerce planning
• Strong financial acumen and advanced Excel / modeling capabilities
• Proven experience managing inventory and open-to-buy budgets at scale
• Prior people management experience with a track record of developing teams
• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership
• A builder mindset with comfort operating in high-growth, evolving environments
• Strong understanding of modern planning tools, automation, and data-driven forecasting
Preferred Background:
• Experience in jewelry, fashion, activewear, or consumer products
• Exposure to ERP or planning systems optimization
• Deep understanding of inventory lifecycle management across multiple channels

Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
