Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and providing personalized recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and throughout the café
- Handle cash, perform cashiering duties, and manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy
- Assist in food handling and basic food preparation to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within cafés or the food industry
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for smooth transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform serving duties confidently while maintaining cleanliness and organization
