What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fabricator position at Fourmen Manufacturing?
Fourmen Manufacturing is a central Michigan company that specialized in heavy equipment manufacturing and custom fabrication. Our team designs and builds multiple products with a focus on specialized forestry and mulch coloring equipment. We are currently looking for a custom fabricator that has welding experience and is willing to learn to assemble or operate.
Ideal candidate would be proficient in multiple areas listed below.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings; taking and verifying measurements to plan layouts and procedures
- Determining appropriate welding methods and equipment based on project requirements
- Setting up components according to specifications, including cutting and drilling materials to precise measurements
- Operating angle and die grinders to properly prepare parts
- Utilizing measuring tools effectively to ensure accuracy and quality
- Welding components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, and overhead)
- Assisting with machinery and component assembly as needed
- Maintaining equipment in safe working condition and adhering to safety standards
Experience with aluminum welding is preferred; however, training is available for the right candidate.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
