Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining food safety standards and ensuring a smooth operation within the kitchen.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Manage food production for various services, including banquets and catering events.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Assist in menu planning and development to enhance the dining experience.
  • Participate in shift management, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently during service hours.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or in similar culinary roles within the food industry.
  • Banquet experience is preferred, along with supervisory or team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Experience in restaurant management or food service management is highly desirable.
  • Culinary experience that includes cooking, inventory management, and menu planning is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of hospitality.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
