Are you a logistics professional with a strong understanding of the trucking industry? We're looking for a Freight Dispatcher with experience in freight brokering to join our dynamic team at Tumbleweed Logistics, a growing freight brokerage firm dedicated to delivering efficient and reliable logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, book, and dispatch freight with qualified carriers across the U.S.
• Communicate directly with drivers, shippers, and receivers to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
• Negotiate rates and build strong carrier relationships.
• Track and trace shipments, providing real-time updates to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of load details, documentation, and communication.
• Solve in-transit issues efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Coordinate with internal teams to meet service and profitability goals.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in freight brokering or dispatching.
• In-depth knowledge of the trucking industry, including DOT regulations.
• Familiarity with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and how they impact dispatch and route planning.
• Strong understanding of various semi-trailer types (dry vans, flatbeds, reefers, step decks, etc.).

- Knowledge of different types of freight and proper cargo securement methods. - Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient with TMS (Transportation Management Systems), load boards, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Existing carrier network.
• Experience working with both owner-operators and fleet carriers.
